Support the ACC with a letter to Canmore Town Council

Dear Canmore Town Council,

I support the proposed re-designation of the Alpine Club of Canada lease lands from Conservation of Wildlands to Direct Control. If approved, this re-designation would provide the flexibility needed to address growing access pressures at one of the Bow Valley’s most important climbing and recreation areas.

The Alpine Club of Canada is a longstanding non-profit organization with strong community ties and a proven track-record of running its facilities in an environmentally responsible manner. Enabling future improvements will be essential in order to sustainably manage increasing recreation demand. I encourage Council to approve the re-designation and support sustainable access.
